1Who we are
Quran Champ (quranchamp.com) is an online Quran learning platform for children, operated by Quran Champ. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean Quran Champ.
We process personal data in line with the laws of the State of Qatar, including Law No. 13 of 2016 on the Protection of Personal Data Privacy.
2Children and parental consent
Our lessons are made for children, but accounts must be created and managed by a parent or legal guardian. By creating an account for a child, you confirm that you are their parent or guardian and that you agree to this policy on their behalf.
We collect as little information about children as possible, and we never ask children for information that isn't needed for learning.
3What we collect
- Account details: first and last name, username, email address and password (stored encrypted).
- Learning activity: lessons viewed, quiz answers and scores, progress, certificates and messages in course discussions.
- Live classes: when your child joins a Zoom class, Zoom processes their display name, audio and video under Zoom's own privacy policy.
- Payments: order details such as the plan, amount and date. Card details are entered on our payment provider's secure page and are never stored by us.
- Messages: anything you send us through the contact form, email or WhatsApp.
- Technical data: basic information such as browser type, device and IP address, used to keep the site secure and working.
4How we use it
- To create and manage accounts and give access to lessons.
- To track progress, award badges and issue certificates.
- To run live classes and send class reminders.
- To process payments and keep records required by law.
- To answer questions and provide support.
- To send occasional updates about new lessons — only if you sign up, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
5Who we share it with
We never sell personal data and we don't use it for advertising. We only share it with trusted services that help us run Quran Champ, and only as much as they need:
- Our website hosting provider.
- Our payment provider, to process payments securely.
- Zoom, for live classes.
- Email services, to send account and class messages.
- Authorities, if the law requires it.
6Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you logged in, remember your settings and keep the site secure. We don't use advertising cookies.
7How long we keep data
We keep account and learning data while the account is active. If an account is deleted, we remove or anonymise personal data within a reasonable time, except records we must keep by law (such as payment records).
8Keeping data safe
We use secure (HTTPS) connections, encrypted passwords, limited staff access and trusted service providers to protect your information.
9Your rights
You can ask us to see, correct, download or delete your or your child's personal data, or to stop sending you updates. Contact us at our contact page and we'll respond as soon as we can.
10Changes to this policy
If we make important changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, let you know by email.
